Synopsis

Whisk is a food technology company that has now been acquired, forming the basis for Samsung Food.

Visual Direction

Whisk’s journey began way back in 2012 when founder Nick set out to create a mobile app that creates shopping lists based on recipes.

However, while the app was proving popular with everyday foodies it was proving difficult to monetise and scale.

With this in mind, Whisk challenged me and another designer - Mattie Lynch, to explore new positioning for the company which could unlock their real growth potential.

I created the complete identity system collaborating with the internal team at Whisk and then continued to help them by art directing the style of their website.

The identity plays into the idea of lots of different systems combining into one platform. Based of the data sets we were given that proves Whisks’ business plan. These connections are what make Whisk unique - connecting people to a more healthy life.
